OUR ladies-only MMA CLASSES ARE:

* Beginner‑friendly

* Suitable for ages 15 and up

* Technique‑focused and progressive

MMA is not just a sport. It’s a life skill.

And every woman deserves access to it — in a space where she feels supported, respected and empowered.

WHY WE’RE LAUNCHING LADIES-ONLY MMA CLASSES

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is one of the most practical, empowering and confidence‑building sports in the world with many benefits, but mainly how it builds essential and practical self-defense skills. Yet for many young girls and women, walking into an MMA gym for the first time can feel intimidating — especially when training alongside boys and men in a sport they may have little or no prior exposure to.

Our goal is simple:

To create a safe, supportive environment where women can learn, grow and become strong — physically and mentally — without fear, pressure or discomfort.

A COMFORTABLE STARTING POINT MATTERS

We’ve listened carefully to feedback from women in our community. A common concern we hear is not a lack of interest in MMA — but discomfort trying something new and training with men, particularly in a close‑contact sport.

This is completely valid.

MMA involves grappling, clinch work and body‑to‑body contact. For beginners, that alone can feel overwhelming. Add unfamiliar techniques, a new environment and mixed‑gender training, and many women simply never take the first step — even though they want to.

Ladies-Only classes remove that barrier.

THEY ALLOW PARTICIPANTS TO:

* Learn at their own pace

* Ask questions without feeling judged

* Build confidence before stepping into mixed classes (if they choose to)

* Train in an environment designed specifically around their needs

* Form new friendships and bonds

NOT ABOUT EXCLUSION – ABOUT EMPOWERMENT

Ladies‑Only classes are not about separation or exclusion. They are about creating access.

For many young girls and women, this will be their first step into MMA. Some may later choose to transition into mixed classes, while others may prefer to continue training in a ladies‑only space. Both choices are valid.

What matters is that they feel safe enough to start.

PROFESSIONAL COACHING AND A SAFE TRAINING ENVIRONMENT

While these are ladies‑only classes, our coaching team consists of experienced, professional male coaches. Our coaches are not only highly qualified in MMA — they are also trained to coach responsibly, ethically and professionally and have extensive experience working with women who are new to combat sports, as well as children and teenagers entering MMA for the first time. Sessions are designed to be calm, controlled and confidence‑building — not intimidating.

A RESPECTFUL AND SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY

While ladies-only classes provide a comfortable entry point, they are part of a broader gym culture built on mutual respect.

The men training in our gym — coaches and members alike — understand that MMA is a discipline, not an outlet for ego. Respectful behaviour, controlled training and looking after your training partners and fellow gym members are non-negotiable expectations.

Our male members play an important role in maintaining a safe environment by:

* Training with control and awareness

* Supporting beginners and offering assistance

* Respecting personal boundaries at all times

* Leading by example on and off the mats

Ladies-only classes are not a reflection of unsafe behaviour in our gym — they are simply an additional option designed to help more young girls and women feel comfortable starting their MMA journey.

MMA AS PRACTICAL SELF DEFENSE

In today’s world, self‑defence is no longer optional — it’s essential.

Unlike many traditional martial arts, MMA focuses on real‑world situations, including:

* What to do if you’re grabbed or pushed

* How to escape from the ground

* How to control distance and protect yourself

* How to stay calm and think under pressure

For young girls and women, these practical skills are invaluable. MMA is not about aggression or violence — it’s about awareness, confidence and control.

Knowing you can protect yourself changes how you move through the world.

STRENGTH, CONFIDENCE AND MENTAL RESILIENCE

The benefits of MMA go far beyond self‑defence.

Young girls and women who train MMA consistently experience:

* Increased strength and overall fitness

* Improved coordination and mobility

* Greater confidence and self‑belief

* Stress relief and mental resilience

* A strong sense of community and belonging

There is something deeply empowering about discovering what your mind and body is capable of — especially in an environment where you feel supported.
